A circular approach to polymer production

For ART Polymer, sustainability is a production decision rather than a statement — reflected in the materials we work with, the group we operate within and the recovery systems we take part in.

Circularity as a production principle

Plastic products are often discussed in terms of what happens after use. ART Polymer approaches the question earlier — at the point where material is selected and production is planned.

Working with recycled material requires different handling than virgin polymer: input consistency varies, processing parameters change, and product performance has to be verified rather than assumed. Building this capability into daily production, instead of treating it as an exception, is what makes circular material use practical rather than symbolic.

Recycled material in practice

ART Polymer produces both plastic bags and label ties using recycled materials as well as virgin raw materials, depending on project requirements.

The choice is made together with the customer, based on technical specifications, intended application and sustainability targets. Recycled content is not applied uniformly across every order — it is matched to products and use cases where it delivers environmental benefit without compromising the performance the customer depends on.

Part of a recycling organization

ART Polymer operates within ART Group, an organization active in recycling and environmental technologies. This connection shapes how the company approaches material sourcing and production planning.

Being part of a group whose core activity is recycling means recycled material is understood from the inside — its variability, its limits and its potential — rather than purchased as an unfamiliar input from external suppliers.

Involvement in the Deposit Return System

ART is accredited in four provinces in Türkiye within the scope of the Deposit Return System, the national framework for collecting and recovering beverage packaging.

Deposit return schemes are among the more effective mechanisms for keeping packaging material in circulation, because they separate material at the point of return rather than at the end of a mixed waste stream. Participation in this system places ART inside the recovery infrastructure itself — contributing to how material is collected, not only to how it is later processed.

Supporting our customers' objectives

Sustainability targets increasingly move along the supply chain. Companies are asked to account for the materials in their packaging and industrial consumables, and to demonstrate progress rather than intention.

ART Polymer works with customers navigating these expectations — offering recycled material options, consistent production standards and a clear account of what is being supplied. The aim is to make the sustainable choice a straightforward one, supported by a manufacturer able to deliver it reliably.
